## What is new

- **8 Ball Pool:** a Jarvis table with shaded balls, aiming guides, adjustable power, pockets and server-controlled online matches. Solo against Jarvis, local two-player, private 1v1 rooms, and teams with up to four players. This is an original Jarvis implementation inspired by the requested pool game, with Jarvis house rules.
- **Tower Flight:** fly Jarvis's silver face between high, middle and low gaps; rise and dive, avoid moving gates and floating blocks, and collect energy cores. Three difficulties, touch controls and device-local best scores. Tower Flight is solo.
- **Website:** new game cards and NEW badges in the homepage and arcade, with matching silver styling and owner-controlled theme accents. Existing games, AI chat, accounts, credits and music remain available.
- **Browser 1.2.2 for Windows:** launch choices for ad blocking, search engine and normal/proxy connection; Brave Search, Google, DuckDuckGo and Bing; smoother tab updates and opening/closing effects; renderer crash recovery with a limit on repeated retries.
- **Web browser engine 1.0.3:** continuous JPEG streaming replaces frame polling. Sharp, Fluid and Data saver profiles, actual FPS/resolution display, an ad blocker switch, smoother tabs, and a fix for the start-screen jump during navigation. Normal mode opens websites locally in your regular browser; remote mode runs an isolated browser on the Jarvis VPS.
- **Owner and Member Windows apps 1.7.2:** new styled game entries open the online games on jarvispage.com. Owner privileges, the private DM inbox/player and the motion policy remain owner-controlled. No owner key is bundled in a public app.
- **Discord:** `J pool` / `J 8ball`, `J flight` / `J tf`, and `J arcade`. `/about` and visible version labels now describe 1.7.2.

## Play pool with friends

After the website update, open **https://jarvispage.com/pool.html**.

1. Enter your name. Select **1 vs 1** or **2 vs 2 teams**.
2. Press **Create private room** and share the six-character code or invite link.
3. Friends enter that code, choose Team A or Team B, then press **Join**.
4. The host presses **Start match** when players are ready. Team format supports up to two players per side; a match can also start with one player on one side and two on the other.
5. Aim by dragging or pointing on the table. Set power and press **Take shot**. Desktop Space also shoots when a form control is not focused.
6. After the break, a legal pot assigns solids or stripes. Pot your own group to keep the turn. Fouls give the opponent ball in hand; click an empty place to position the cue ball.
7. Clear your group, **call a pocket** using the selector, then pot the eight. An early or incorrectly called eight loses; a break eight is respotted.

Teammates alternate when their side gets the turn back. A player has 90 seconds to start a shot. Only the current player can shoot. The host can start a rematch after the result. Leaving during a match forfeits that player's side. Reloading the same tab restores its room seat through session storage. Idle rooms expire after 20 minutes; restarting Jarvis ends temporary matches. These games do not spend or award Jarvis Cash.

## Play Tower Flight

Open **https://jarvispage.com/flight.html**. Choose a difficulty and press **Start flying**.

- Space or tap the sky/Boost for a short lift.
- Hold Up/W or the **Rise** button to climb.
- Hold Down/S or **Dive** to descend faster.
- P or **Pause** pauses the run. Switching tabs pauses automatically.
- Best tower/energy scores stay on your current device, separately per difficulty.

## Install the VPS update with commands

Download **Jarvis-1.7.2-VPS-Update.zip** into your Windows Downloads folder. Run this in **PowerShell on your Windows PC**, not in the VPS terminal:

```powershell
$JarvisUpdate = Join-Path $env:USERPROFILE 'Downloads\Jarvis-1.7.2-VPS-Update.zip'
$JarvisFolder = Join-Path $env:USERPROFILE 'Downloads\Jarvis-1.7.2-Update-Files'
Expand-Archive -LiteralPath $JarvisUpdate -DestinationPath $JarvisFolder -Force
powershell.exe -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "$JarvisFolder\Jarvis-1.7.2-Update\Publish-Jarvis-1.7.2.ps1" -ArchivePath $JarvisUpdate
```

The publisher uses **ubuntu@57.131.137.160** and **/home/ubuntu/jarvis**. It uses your existing `~/.ssh/jarvis_vps` key if present, otherwise ordinary SSH authentication. It verifies the ZIP, uploads it, validates the source anchors, backs up website and engine files, builds/tests the isolated browser engine, restarts Jarvis and checks its health. It preserves `.env`, accounts, licences, bot tokens and user data. A first engine installation requires at least 2 GB RAM and 5 GB free disk space; the first Docker build can take several minutes. Existing engine capacity settings are retained. The Owner ZIP stays separate from public website downloads.

You do not need to register new Discord slash commands for the new `J` commands. Hard-refresh the website with Ctrl+F5 after the updater reports success. The update ZIP includes the public Windows Browser and Member downloads that are published on the website.

To preview the file plan on the VPS without applying it, after extracting the ZIP:

```bash
python3 Jarvis-1.7.2-Update/install-update.py --project /home/ubuntu/jarvis --check-only
```

## Install the Windows apps

Download the app ZIP you want and extract **the whole folder**. Keep the EXE together with `resources`, `locales`, DLLs and other runtime files.

| App | Open | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Jarvis Browser 1.2.2 | `Jarvis Browser.exe` | Standalone browsing; no Owner app or bot installation required |
| Jarvis Owner 1.7.2 | `Jarvis Owner.exe` | Your existing private panel connection, site effects/colours, DM tools and owner controls |
| Jarvis Member 1.7.2 | `Jarvis Member.exe` | Public/member companion; uses the existing Jarvis access/sign-in flow |

Each ZIP includes an optional **INSTALL-APP.cmd** to copy the app into your Windows account and create a desktop shortcut. The Browser also includes **INSTALL-BROWSER.cmd**. Close the old app before opening the new version. Your existing profile uses the same app name; it remains in your Windows account.

## Browser choices and quality

The native Windows browser renders websites locally, using Chromium's normal hardware acceleration. Brave here means **Brave Search as the search engine**, not the Brave browser. A native proxy needs an HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5 endpoint you provide; it will not fall back to a direct connection if that proxy fails.

The website browser offers:

- **Normal:** opens the search/site in your regular browser. That browser controls its own ad blocking, account cookies and rendering.
- **Remote:** uses your signed-in Jarvis account and a temporary isolated browser on the VPS. It uses the VPS's connection; no random proxy network or third-party unblocker is bundled.
- **Sharp:** 95% JPEG quality, frame target up to 30 FPS.
- **Fluid:** 88% JPEG quality, frame target up to 60 FPS.
- **Data saver:** 78% JPEG quality, frame target up to 15 FPS.

These are targets, not promised minimums. FPS depends on the website, animation, network and VPS resources. The displayed counter measures frames actually drawn. Local tests delivered about 35–39 FPS on an animation fixture in Fluid mode, and about 25 FPS through the complete Sharp browser UI. Static pages naturally deliver fewer new frames. Switching Jarvis's ad blocker off does not disable the remote browser's network isolation.

## Validation and deployment status

The game model/API tests passed, including fouls, the eight ball, team turn rotation, room privacy and invalid shots. Four real browser clients joined and played one 2v2 room. Desktop and mobile layouts, touch flight controls, account/CSRF checks, native tab recovery, private sessions, filtering and proxy failure behavior were tested. Windows x64 EXEs were packaged with Electron 44.5.1 and their PE/ASAR contents checked; this workspace cannot launch Windows binaries, so their first Windows launch remains a device check.

This package has **not been deployed to your VPS from this chat**. Run the publisher above to make it live. The installed browser engine performs its Docker/sandbox/host-isolation checks on your VPS before applying website files.

## Rollback if needed

The updater saves both checkpoints and installs a helper to restore the previous website and browser engine. Run this in your VPS terminal only if you want to undo the latest 1.7.2 installation:

```bash
sudo python3 /home/ubuntu/jarvis/backups/rollback-last-172.py --project /home/ubuntu/jarvis
```

The website's `rollback.py` and engine's `restore-engine.py` are also retained in their backup directories. The installer automatically attempts restoration when its checks fail.
